The Gaelic Society of Toronto will be represented at several Scottish Festivals and Highland Games this summer. If you have questions, need help with finding Gaelic resources, or would like some information about becoming a member, please come out to chat with us. We'd love to see you there!
After the long winter, which sometimes felt like it was never going to end, Saturday, April 13th was a beautiful day and really did feel like Spring had finally arrived. Old friends and new friends had a chance to catch up with each other and share a bite to eat.
The entertainment was outstanding. We had a young piper, Caleb McPherson, who was last year’s winner of the Scott MacAulay Memorial trophy. We enjoyed some lovely dancing from a group of Highland dance students, ages 4 to 13. Their group finale was an impressive original choreography about sheep! Absolutely charming. Then there were some songs from a few of our members, some more coffee and tea, and some yummy desserts. Kudos to our decorators, who included some Gaelic welcomes to Spring. Sorry if you couldn’t join us. Here’s hoping you’ll join us at our next event! Join us for an afternoon of Gaelic Film! Saturday March 23, 2-4pm,
Admission is free. Everyone welcome! Where: 130 St George St, Toronto, ON M5S 1A5, Canada (map) Located at Robarts library, the Media Commons room , on the 3 rd floor. Come one and all to the Toronto Gaelic Society Spring Fling! Please bring your friends and relatives.
