Thanks to everyone who slogged through the nasty driving conditions to come out to our Làtha Filmeachan Gàidhlig / Gaelic Film Day last Saturday! We had a good number of folks in spite of the weather. Mòran taing to FilmG who sent us a selection of clips by past winners. Very positive feedback from everyone and a good day together enjoying Gaelic language and culture in film.

We had a good number of folks in spite of the weather. Mòran taing to FilmG who sent us a selection of clips by past winners. Very positive feedback from everyone and a good day together enjoying Gaelic language and culture in film. We've expanded our website! There's lots more content to explore, including details on membership, the Board, helpful online resources, and a calendar of events to easily keep track of everything going on. Also, if you know of any additional resources you think would be helpful or other Gaelic happenings in Ontario, please let us know and we will be more than happy to share them on this site. Of course, you can always find us online on twitter and facebook. Be sure to give us a "like" and/or a "follow" if you haven't already! We have lots planned for the Gaelic community in 2015! The aim is to have an event to bring the community together at least once a month. First up in 2015 is Latha Filmichean Gàidhlig / Gaelic Film Day on February 21. In March we will be holding an evening of waulking songs, skits, readings and song circles (March 28). And for April we will be supporting the tireless Lorrie MacKinnon who is organizing another ever-popular Cànan agus Òran, a day long workshop of Gaelic language and song (April 11). You can find details on all events here. |
