Gaelic Concert: Robyn Carrigan       8:30-10pm
with Jennifer Melvin McIsaac - fiddle/harp, Pat Simmonds-button accordion and Michele Breslin-vocals/bass
Robyn Carrigan, award winning singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, offers a unique and authentic window into the world of the Gaels. She is a direct descendant from the chain migration from Gaelic Scotland and Ireland to Nova Scotia (New Scotland). Her commitment to maintaining the vibrancy of Gaelic culture is at the heart of her performances. She continues to uphold the traditions of her lineage by working as a Gaelic artist, through musical collaborations and by teaching and organizing Gaelic song and language workshops in North America and Europe.

Over her extensive career exploring traditional music, folk-roots country, punk, art-song, jazz and Indian ragas, she has worked with many of Canada’s top artists, recording, touring and performing internationally with Grammy award winners. Her critically acclaimed original folk-roots band Bottleneck signed to Black Hen Records/ Universal released two CD's; 'Bottleneck' and 'Late Nights, Early Mornings'.

Scottish Gaelic Songs Workshop:   7:15-8:15pm
Get your Gaelic on and sing a few easy songs from our beautiful Gaelic language. Observers welcome. No experience with Gaelic or singing required! Robyn Carrigan is a very experienced and gentle song leader of absolute beginners. Learn a little about the different styles of song and take home some examples and links to help you continue. All are welcome. Workshop is included in the Concert ticket.

Gaelic Jam Seisean: 10-10:30pm (or when we run out of steam)
Bring your instruments and songs along. After the Gaelic concert Robyn will host a trad. session and all are welcome to join.
