We proudly present The Gaelic Society of Toronto Matthew Chisholm Memorial Award to the Senior level Gaelic student who has gained the greatest fluency in the Gaelic language: Seonnaidh - John Tohill
MATTHEW CHISHOLM was a member of The Gaelic Society of Toronto and served as a Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors in the year 2017/18. He studied Gaelic to the degree that he was totally fluent and also sang Gaelic songs beautifully. Sadly, Matthew passed away too young at the age of forty. In his honour, The Gaelic Society of Toronto is proud to recognise the student who, in the opinion of the instructor, has gained the greatest fluency in our advanced level Gaelic class by presenting them with a Certificate of Achievement and free tuition for one subsequent course.
