The St. Andrew's Charity Ball - Toronto

11/2/2017

Picture

The first practice for the Ball at the Moss Park Armoury is tomorrow night, Friday November 3rd. We always get positive feed-back on the fun that people have at the practices and the quality of instruction for the dances so come and join us on November 3rd or at one of the other practices.

It’s easy to get tickets and to pay online - just follow this link to  the St. Andrew’s Charity Ball webpage or this link to print the Application Form to fill out and mail in.

Bring-a-friend challenge and door great prize!

Again this year we will be presenting a bottle of fine malt whisky to the person who brings the most people to the Ball. There is also a door prize of a free night at the Royal York.

Dance Practices!

For all dancers there are practices at Moss Park Armoury (130 Queen Street East) from 8-10 pm on the evenings of Friday November 3rd, Tuesdays November 7th, and 14th.  (Due to Remembrance Day events, Friday November 10th was not a practice option).  There will also be a Saturday afternoon practice at Glenview Presbyterian Church (1 Glenview Avenue) on Saturday November 11th from 2-4 pm.  For those of you who are too far away to attend the practices, you can watch performances of the dances selected for this year’s event on YouTube using links provided on the Charity Ball webpage.

At the St. Andrew's Charity Ball event page you can also find more details about the Dance Practices, Ceilidh Dancing Cribs, YouTube instructional dance videos, and other FAQs.

Ticket Pricing and Charitable Donation Tax Receipts

We have a special price for members in good standing with the St Andrew's Society Toronto (SAST), Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS) or the 48th Highlanders.  You can avail yourself of this pricing by making a membership donation to the St Andrew's Society. Donations go directly to the agencies we support.  And this year to support our younger quests we are promoting a Student discount.  Ticket price for Members of SAST, RSCDS, the 48th Highlanders and Students: $150, Non-members: $175 (with a tax receipt for a portion of the proceeds).

We hope you have enjoyed The St Andrew's Charity Ball in past years and will once again join us as we celebrate a night of Scottish revelry!

Best Wishes from the 2017 St. Andrew’s Charity Ball Committee
