Natasha Sumner is co-editor of the new essay collection North American Gaels: Speech, Story, and Song in the Diaspora. She completed her undergraduate education at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia with the late Professor Ken Nilsen, whom this collection honours, and she earned her doctoral degree from Harvard. She is an Associate Professor of Celtic Languages and Literatures at Harvard, where she researches literature and folklore in Irish and Scottish Gaelic.
